Last July (2014) I was invited by friend and photographer Jason Speth to accompany him to a remote village in Vietnam – 3 plane rides away from Los Angeles – to be amongst the first humans to explore the world’s largest (recently) discovered cave. We were 2 of 220 people that were permitted to enter the cave in it’s inaugural opening year. Aside from a handful of local junglemen and the British cavers who helped chart the cave, I’d say that put us in the first 300 people to ever set foot in the world’s largest cave:
Hang Son Doong – Phong Nha, Quan Binh, Vietnam
