If you’re anything like me, you were very confused when you first saw the movie Avatar. Not confused at how the technology could work, or how a human could pilot an oversized blue alien, or even how patches of land floated through the extraterrestrial atmosphere (all things awesome, by the way).
No, what confused me was the blatant non-design of the logo. For a while I thought there was some mistake, but I began to accept the inevitable… The Avatar logo just uses the Papyrus font – that’s it. A slap in the face to movie lovers and designers all over our great terrestrial world. Well, this SNK skit from over the weekend connected with me in a way I never thought a comedy sketch show could. Thank you, SNL.
