Dinner at Día de Campo

It’s always a treat when we create something virtual that becomes tangible and even experiential.  In this case of our new favorite restaurant, the illustrative typography was greeted us on the side of the building stared back at us from the menu.  It’s feels like your work got hung up on a huge public refrigerator and it’s always an accomplished feeling.

Admittedly, we’re a little biased because Día is a client, but we are also honest people.  And if this place wasn’t good, we’d probably not say anything at all, but we got to test out the place and here’s the tale.

The restaurant has a great vibe (you can see photos here) and they are proud of their craft-made drinks and family style shared appetizers and entrees.  The food was unbelievable.  It was like each dish outdid the last dish, which felt impossible, considering how delicious everything was.

Here’s what we had:

  • Scallop Ceviché
  • Chorizo Stuffed Dates
  • Short Rib Empanada
  • Enchiladas – (shrimp chorizo)

This, along with a few margaritas & beers fed 3 gentlemen with big appetites.  They even brought us the Chimichanga accidentally, but we were too full to eat it.

So if you decide to head over to Día de Campo, be a doll and tell them how much you like the logo.

Cheers!
